Their concert video of Handel's great classical hit, the world-famous „Water Music“, has been viewed millions of times on YouTube. They will be performing the piece live again, along with other works dedicated to the wet element. With the storm music from Marin Marais' opera „Alcyone“, the curtain rises on a panorama of works that is made for the exuberant playing of Akamus: Michel-Richard Delalande's suite „Les Fontaines de Versailles“ inspires with French elegance and transports you to the palace park of Louis XIV, famous for its water features. In contrast, Georg Philipp Telemann combines the world of the sea gods with the maritime hustle and bustle of Hamburg in his water music with a great deal of wit and humor.
