“Typically Bavarian” is what you think you know in the first few seconds when the “Unterbiberger Hofmusik” gets going. But it doesn't stay that way. The Himpsl couple and their three sons - all trained musicians - have been crossing all genre boundaries with top-class guests since 1992: “Folk? Jazz? Latin? Balkan? Brass? - All or none of the above!” The Jazzrausch Bigband founded by Roman Sladek, which has been artist in residence at Munich's renowned techno club Harry Klein since 2015, is obviously also very well placed between the chairs. And, according to its own statement, it satisfies a whole range of longings: “That of clubbers for more real, handmade, fresh and original music.
