Receive the key to the Konzerthaus Berlin and have a say in what goes on stage there: that is the plan of the co-creative project NEXT STOP: BLN. Young Berliners are invited to work with project designer Kian Jazdi and pianist Hanni Liang to design an evening of the "Aus den Fugen" festival in November 2024 - a festival that does not want to close the doors of the concert hall to life outside.
NEXT STOP: BLN asks questions about home and at home and sets out in search of what connects people in Berlin across all differences. Who is Berlin, what is Berlin for us, what does it sound like? In regular workshops, the participants explore the project theme artistically and activate their own creative potential through voice, movement and language. The results culminate in a large, professionally staged final concert that combines performance, space, setting and light.

Hanni Liang, pianist
Hanni Liang sees concerts as open spaces for encounters. As a pianist, she can be heard in solo performances, such as in the Elbphilharmonie with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen or at the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, as well as in concert formats developed by her, which artistically express contemporary themes and which she performs at festivals such as Heidelberger Frühling, Mozartfest Würzburg, Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg or Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele. Her aim as a musician is to promote a more humane coexistence and a sustainable society. In October 2022, she took up a position as a lecturer in concert design at the Munich University of Music and Theatre. She completed her piano studies and an additional degree in media management at the Robert Schumann University of Music Düsseldorf and the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. There she was significantly influenced by Prof Bernd Goetzke. She completed her concert exam in piano with Prof. Matthias Kirschnereit at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre. Hanni Liang works with composers such as Manfred Trojahn and York Höller as well as with musicians such as Maria João Pires.

Kian Jazdi, Project Designer
Kian Jazdi, 32, is a musician and project developer and lives in Hamburg. Together with Julian Prégardien and Catherine Pisaroni, he is artistic co-director and co-founder of the Liedstadt festival. In January 2024, he was appointed to the advisory board of the Netzwerk Junge Ohren. Since the winter semester 2023/24, he has been teaching Leading & Guiding in the Master Contemporary Arts Practice at the mdw in Vienna. His projects are designed to arouse curiosity, search for transcultural interfaces and bring people together - from different artistic and cultural backgrounds, age groups and genders. Questions of representation on, in front of and next to the stage occupy him in his project work. Kian Jazdi studied school music with singing and choral conducting and maths. His musical background is classical, combined with work on analogue synthesizers. Music from Iran, which his father listened to at home, also influences his musical style and his choice of projects. Kian Jazdi has worked for the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt Berlin, the Staatsballett Hamburg John Neumeier, the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Dresdner Philharmonie, Kampnagel Hamburg, the Staatstheater Karlsruhe, the Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Vocalensemble Rastatt & Les Favorites, among others.
