Teresa Kammerer studied at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music with Stephan Picard, at Indiana University in Bloomington, USA with Mauricio Fuks and in Cologne with Mihaela Martin. She has won prizes at the Ibolyka Gyarfas Competition Berlin and international competitions in Heerlen, Netherlands and Bled, Slovenia, among others, and has received scholarships from the German National Scholarship Foundation, the Fulbright Commission, DAAD, the German Foundation for Musical Life, the Jürgen Ponto Foundation and the State Collection of Baden-Württemberg. Teresa Kammerer plays a violin by Guiseppe Rocca from 1831.

In my next life I will be a cellist.

Is there a key work that started your love of music?

Bruckner's 7th symphony.

Which favourite place in Berlin do you recommend when you have visitors?

The Heilandskirche at Sacrow.
