Expeditionskonzert mit Joana Mallwitz
Eva Sütterlin-Rocca studied at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. She was a scholarship holder at the Orchestra Academy of the Staatskapelle Berlin and the Steans Institute for Young Artists of the Ravinia Festival Association, USA and played as Concertmaster of the second violins in the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra. Since 1996, she has been Associate Concertmaster of the second violins of the Konzerthausorchester. Eva Sütterlin-Rocca taught violin at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin for ten years.
When I’m not playing the violin, I love to sing. I also love to play the organ.
Estrongo Nachama embodies both for me! Born in Thessaloniki in 1918, he was the chief cantor of the Jewish community in Berlin from 1947 to 2000.
The Konzerthaus, of course. And the Museumsinsel.
My favourite food is Italian. Here is a menu I like to prepare myself:
Mozzarella salad
Spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino
Baked artichokes à la “Nona Beta“
Pane Romano
Grilled gilthead seabream
Zabaione
