What would you be doing if you hadn’t become a musician?

I would work in veterinary medicine or with an animal protection group.

Which concert with the Konzerthausorchester was a special emotional experience for you?

“Also sprach Zarathustra” by Richard Strauss with Iván Fischer in January 2020. All the rehearsals and concerts were incredible and exciting – it was a wonderful, unforgettable time for me.

Which composer inspires you the most?

Shostakovich – the pain in his pieces hits me every time, I feel it. All of his works have a lot to say to us as people, I think.

Which favourite place in Berlin do you recommend when you have visitors?

The Konzerthaus Berlin on Gendarmenmarkt! I don’t know of a more beautiful concert hall, plus it’s built on a wonderful square. It really gives me great pleasure to play there.
